Last week (or maybe the week before that??) we headed out to enjoy the beautiful weather with a day trip through Leesburg and Hillsboro. I love both of these little towns. And, consequently, took a LOT of pictures.

(No, really ... there are a lot here. And I have even more, which I didn't think were pretty enough to share. *nervous laugh*)

Some Window Displays:

I am kind of weird in that I really love odd, colorful, or interesting store window displays. And, also, when I see interesting things in the windows of places where people live. I guess that's the point of them -- to be eye-catching. Although what catches my eye is a very subjective thing. Anyhow, these were all in Leesburg, except for the last one.

The colors in your photos are so vibrant!! It would never occur to me to take pictures on window displays. They make for really interesting compositions, with all the reflections mixing with the colors and shapes. Pretty!!

Thanks! LOL, yeah the window display thing is sort of an oddity of mine. For some reason, I tend to be fascinated by reflections and those kinds of displays. Sometimes, they come out way too busy because of all the reflection going on, but there are other times when I find I really like that effect a lot. (So long as I don't accidentally catch myself in the reflection! Yikes! >.O) I also like the way the colors tend to be kind of muted behind the window glass.

I forget that you guys work on a different weather scheme than we do here. We have snow, so no flowers. . . .

I heard on the news yesterday that you guys are getting SLAMMED with snow! I couldn't believe you were buried already, as it seemed so early in the year. Hopefully, the flower and sunshine pics can at least help you feel a little warmer.
