Rain Rain, Go Away ...

My yard JUST started drying out from the last rain we had. And today --

Yep. More rain. Of course. *sigh*

Hubby is going out of town for the next day or so, and it looks like we'll be having thunderstorms while he's gone. It never fails. Happens pretty much every time he goes out of town, and I hate being alone during thunderstorms. During the day, it's not so bad. I'm okay with that. But at night ... not so much.

And, brownie fail wasn't total brownie fail. They ended up not burning, and they cooked enough in the middle, too -- although it took a while. They taste good, though. So ... yay! Hubby and kiddo were happy, and that's what counts.

And you don't have a long commute obligating you to drive in the storm either, that's a plus.

True, on both counts. So that's definitely a huge POSITIVE. =D

Sadly, on the negative side, my yard turns very swampy when it rains ... which means tugging on the mud boots so I can slog around out there to pick up after my dog. So, so, so much NOT FUN. (Not to mention constantly drying off muddy paws. Love the dog -- hate the mud. Ah well. ^_^)

I hope you're doing OK! I thought about you when we started getting the thunder and really HEAVY, pounding rain. Hopefully, you're snuggled up with your sweetie and feeling safe and warm. ^_^

I am glad the brownies ended up turning out ok.

We had some awesome nice weather Friday to Sunday night and then rain rain rain. Today was all day rain and while at work I felt down due to this weather :(

I was glad about the brownies, too. Especially because I had promised them to my daughter, so if they hadn't turned out, I would have had to make a whole new batch. @_@

We had a really pretty weekend, too -- for the most part. Sunday wasn't quite as pretty as Saturday because it was hazy and a cold front came through. But it was still sunny and not storming. *hates storms* >.O

I hope you're surviving your rain! (Or maybe it stopped by now ... ?? *crosses fingers*)
