So, the by-product of the latest "big snow" that fell on us over the weekend is, of course ...

MORE SNOW PICS!!! (Woot! =D)

I'll stick them behind a cut, to save some space -- and sanity. Heh.

FAE PICS: This was the first time Fae really played in the snow. Before this, she would basically freak out and run back inside. This time, though, she decided she really loves it. Silly pin-head.

HOME PICS: These were taken from the front door of my house, so they show various views -- from our front yard and around to the side of our house.

DRIVE-AROUND PICS: We managed to dig out today and took a bit of a drive, just to see what the world looked like covered with snow. =D

I love the Fae pics! She looks so cute in the snow!

I am seriously impressed you managed to drive around. @__@ Annapolis is still declared a state of emergency. I dug my car out of it's spot today, but the roads themselves are so bad I'm not sure I'm going to even be able to drive down my street tomorrow morning. Not sure if I'll make to work or not...

Thanks! It's not often that Fae gets to be "cute". Well, I mean, I think she's cute ... but I'm kind of biased. To the average person, she's usually just kind of funny looking -- LOLz.

There was a LOT of slush still on our streets yesterday. Luckily, a lot of it has melted off of the road right in front of our house because it gets a lot of sun during the day. There were several inches of slush on all the streets yesterday, and probably still today -- I haven't ventured out yet. *nervous laugh* One of our cars is pretty tall, though, and has AWD. Without that, I don't think we could have ventured out yesterday at all.

Ooooh...it looks like you got some ice, too. That's not good. I hope the trees are okay.

But I do love it when it snows a lot. Makes the world a nice winter wonderland. :)

The icicles were from an earlier snow -- one that only dropped about 6 inches. So, the tree survived those just fine. The most recent snow, though, was so heavy that most of that tree is bent over and touching the ground. We will probably have to remove it once spring rolls around. It's kind of sad, but we've been planning on doing that for a while, as the tree isn't very healthy.

The snow is so pretty, isn't it? Of course, it's a lot prettier when I don't have to be out there shoveling it. =P

I am jealous of your plowed roads, nothing outside of maine streets has been plowed here.

Yeah, we were lucky. The road in front of our house and the other one that intersects it are both considered "major" roads for this area. So they got plowed several times while the bulk of the snow was falling ... and, then, again after it stopped snowing. It wasn't the greatest plow job -- as in, down to the pavement -- so it left quite a lot of slush on the road. But, it was definitely better than nothing! When we went out to drive around, we saw a lot of neighborhoods and areas that hadn't been plowed at all.

I just LOVE your snow pics. ^_^

We had like 20" snow here and I took pics like crazy, but they all on facebook again. LOL I'll see if I can somehow again take some and post on my LJ for ya. ^_^

I saw your pics! They are great! Yay!

Thanks for the kind words. I love heading out with the camera whenever it snows -- although, for this latest storm, I didn't bother. I kind of feel like: "Eh, been there ... done that." LOL!

Thanks!

Yep ... the big birds in the snow are geese. Aren't they funny -- in a pretty adorable way, actually. I wish I had been able to get a better shot of them. I happened to look over at this nearly pristine field of snow as we were driving by, and I saw them kind of wading across it. I snapped this picture on the fly, just as we were passing by them. So, I'm actually thrilled it came out at all -- LOL!

Heh. Fae is a darn funny dog! (In many, many ways. *laughs*)
