I'll trade places with you (though actually I'll be in that part of the country next week anyway) We have 2-3 feet of snow on the ground right now and will for at least another month. I find it hard to like snow these days.
I guess I'm a total goober. I still love it. Maybe because I grew up in S. Texas, and we almost never had snow. Even though it's a more regular occurrence now, I still get all excited about it. I love watching it fall. I love the sound of the train near our house running all night long to keep the tracks clear. I love how it makes the whole world kind of muffled and quiet. And I love how it makes everything seem all "glowy" (very technical term there ... LOL!) at night. Like I said, I'm a goober. *laughs*
By the way, I hope your trip goes well! *HUGZ* By the time you arrive, I'm sure most of this snow will be melted, so you'll be able to get a bit of a "snow break" -- although there are still rather big patches and piles of snow left over from the "big" storm we had in late December.
I'm would be insanely sad if I lived somewhere without snow. I'm always really happy about it the first week or so. I love how it looks when it's falling softly and how all the trees look covered with it. It's just that it's hard to enjoy it when you know it translates into lots of shoveling.
I'll actually be sort of sad of all the snows gone, it always confuses me when I know it's winter, but there isn't any snow. I'm already convinced that once I get there I'm going to think it's shorts and t-shirt time. I've been checking the weather conditions and it's at least 20 degrees warmer there at the lowest.
