Vancouver Pics, 1 of 3: Hotel & Harbor

So ... I'm finally getting around to posting some of my pics from the Vancouver trip. Overall, I had a great time. It was relaxing, although the trip back really took a toll on me. I'm still exhausted from both it (and jet lag), as well as having to jump right into my normal, hectic schedule as soon as I came home.
I decided to split this up into three posts, just so I didn't overload folks with tons of pictures. This first set are assorted pictures from around our hotel, as well as the harbor right next to our room. We had a great view of the harbor and a lot of Vancouver from our hotel room, so that was pretty neat. Also, we took a (really really LONG) walk around the harbor to get to Stanley Park. Some of the pics are from that stroll.
So, on with the pics!!
Boats on Harbor:
I'm not sure if any of these really rate an individual explanation. Basically, there's a harbor ... there are a lot of boats (and sea planes, too ... and even a gas station). These are some of my favorite boat pictures.

Street Scenes:
The cherry trees were blooming when we were there, so I couldn't resist snapping a couple of pics of them -- even though I've already seen about a bazillion cherry trees in bloom! There's just something about them -- who can resist? The other (third) photo is just a generic street scene, mainly because I love the overall look of Vancouver. There is something really slick and clean and kind of modern about it that I find appealing. Especially in the downtown area, where we were staying.

Our Hotel:
Actually, it's the view in one direction from our hotel room. The building in the foreground (with the green roof) is the new addition to the convention center. The roof is planted with grass, and they keep bees right there on the roof to pollinate the plantings there and in the rest of downtown.
