It was a super fun trip! Although it felt like riding a whirlwind in many ways because we fit so many things in there. My friend's son got up the next day and asked her: "So, was that all just one day? Really?" Which totally cracked me up. =P
The kids were so cute and really, really sweet. They had the best time, making up songs as they walked down the street and generally goofing around. I think they had a wonderful time, which was what the whole thing was about.
You're right! NYC is awesome!! In my younger years, I would have totally loved living there. There is such an amazing energy to that place. Now that I have a kiddo, though, I wouldn't. For me, it would be too hard to try and raise a child there. (Of course, this is coming from someone who grew up in rural Texas ... which is the biggest reason I would have problems doing the child thing there. *nervous laugh*)
