OK. I'm freaking out just a little. The street in front of our house (a fairly major, busy street) is full of police vehicles. There are more police cars and SUVs with flashing lights than I can count. Not to mention two mobile command units and a SWAT team vehicle. And men wearing body armor and carrying automatic weapons. And EMS vehicles.

They have the street in front of our house totally blocked off. I'm not sure how far down it goes, as my view is limited.

Ack!

Well, they were parked there for several hours. Then they left. I watched the news that night, but didn't see anything. I didn't see anything in the paper today, either. But we looked up a police blog on the internet, which said the police had cornered an armed bank robber in one of the houses not that far up the street from us. I guess that's why they were all here and had the whole road shut down. Yikes!

I'm just glad everything ended without much incident. Still -- maybe a little too much excitement for me for one day. >.O

That does sound scary. I hope you figure out what is happening. The swat team surrounded our neighbors house immediately next door, guns drawn and everything. Everything seemed to be the same over there after that and we never found out what happened. It made us a really uneasy until they moved though.

We found a police blog on the internet that said they had cornered an armed robber in a house down the street from us. At least it wasn't it our neighborhood.

Speaking of which -- surrounded the house right next door to yours? zOMG! That must have been terrifying! And even worse to never find out what really happened. I would hate that. *HUGS*

That's pretty awesome. You'll have to let us know what actually happened. :)

I think they cornered a bank robber in a house down the street from us. At least, according to a police blog we found on the internet. I didn't see anything on the news yesterday night or in the paper today. Of course, I didn't watch the news today -- there might have been more information on there.

Yeah, totally scary! I get a little freaked out when I see huge men in body armor and toting freakishly large automatic weapons. >.O

We stayed in the house, though. And I kept my daughter at the back of the house -- the side away from where all the "action" was. Thankfully, it all ended fine. They were there for several hours, and then packed up and left. We never heard anything on the news or saw anything in the paper. But a police blog said they had cornered an armed bank robber in a house down the street from us.

Still -- a little too much excitement for me for one day. LOL.

Yep. We're fine. Luckily, it wasn't anything involving our particular neighborhood, or super close by. Still a little bit too close for comfort for me, especially since my kiddo was home from school yesterday b/c of all the snow.

We found a police blog that said they had cornered an armed robber in one of the houses down the street from us -- so I guess that's what happened. I had also heard there was a hostage situation and that someone had barricaded themselves inside a house with an arsenal of guns. So far, I haven't seen anything "official" on the news or in the paper, though.

Yah, really. Otherwise, I never would have found out what all the activity was about. I mean, with that much hardware and manpower -- not to mention cutting off a major street right at rush hour -- you would think it at least rated a passing mention on the news. >.O

I will be quite happy, though, if this doesn't happen again any time soon. Once is quite enough. LOLz
