OH WOW! *-* Yohji's eyes are goregous, and I love the watch. (Really like the wire in the teeth look -drool-) So...when can I put in a commission, hmm? lol, totally loving your fancels girl! I hope you keep sharing as you work on them.
-points to icon- See? Even Yotan approves.
Also, Kanda from D.Gray Man is <3. Also have a soft spot for Lavi/Rabi however you want to spell it.
Thanks!! I'm so glad you like him (and that "yo-tan" approves, too. Hee! =D)
I feel I'm so faaaaar away from accepting any sort of commission. I have painted a couple of cels for friends as gifts -- and I have one more in line to do as a gift, too. So, if I get braver, maybe I could do that for you? Depending on the character/image. Right now, I don't think my skills are up to anything but "really simple". I almost thought I was in over my head with this Yohji cel. It didn't have a lot of details in the lines, but the painting ... like whoa. -.-"
EEEEE! I LOVE Kanda from D. Gray Man!! So far, I think he's my favorite -- no big surprise there, eh? ^.~ I like Allen and Lave, too. Actually, I like the whole cast so far. I haven't found any character I can't stand, which is a good thing. =D
Thanks again for the kind words and the continuing emotional support! *GLOMS*
Heh, I would take ANY Yohji and/or Aya cel you made. Srsly, looking at the ones you’ve done already, they’re gorgeous! If I had the means and tools, I would try the Yohji/Aya shot in the flowershop – I think it’s on your cel wishlist. But you don’t have to make me one. I know you’ve got to be busy doing the ones you have for gifts and the ones for yourself <3 I appreciate the thought a lot though, thanks ^-^
Haha, I thought you might like him. Then again, you do have a ‘type’, hee! I totally love him, too, though. And Lavi! –bounces!- So, you see, I have my types, too! ^-^ It is a good show. I haven’t finished it yet though, sort of got side tracked with some stargate episodes…
The kind words are well earned and deserved! That cel really is awesome! -totally glomps back!-
Hee! Yep. That one is definitely on my wishlist, although I haven't been doing much looking lately. I really don't have the money to spend -- and I need to be spending my time doing other stuff (like writing >.O).
I want to do a fancel of that one. Right now, I have a backlog of lines that need painting. So, I'm kind of going through them and deciding which ones are worth painting and which ones I should just ditch and try making again. So, it'll probably be a while before I do any new lines -- but, if I make one set of lines for that shot, perhaps I could do a second at the same time ...?? ^.~
I don't usually look. I just wait and see what pops up. Feel more like a scavenger than a real collecter ^^; (I STILL adore the devil bunny pancake story! <3)
O.M.G. If you made a second one at the same time...-wants!- But I totally understand you having a ton of previous lines to do first ;) Can't wait to see how they all turn out!
Feel more like a scavenger than a real collecter ...
Ha! Don't worry about that, though. You're not alone. I feel that way a lot of the time, too. But it's kind of expected, in a way, since we both got into collecting kind of late -- so the best way to build a collection is by buying from others who are either leaving the hobby or focusing on different shows and selling off stuff. Besides, the "real" part comes from your heart, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I've had enough people tell me I wasn't a "real" collector, yadda, yadda, yadda so that you shouldn't even have to think it about yourself. ^.~ *hugs*
Well, I can't promise anything. And I do have a lot of lines I need to paint -- not to mention my painting skills need a lot of extra practice, too! But I will get to that shot eventually. Heh, heh, heh. *gloms*
EDIT: EEEE! You still like the story?!? That makes me all kinds of happy. I still owe you a long email about it. I fail. >.O
I totally understand your thing about toothpick painting. I use to paint ACEO's, miniature paintings the size of a trading card, and I had to do an insane amount of work with a toothpick. Same thing with tiny clay figures I occasionally make and paint. I eventually bought some of those tiny brushes with like 2 bristles in them, but still end up using the toothpick a lot.
Oh yeah ... the whole toothpick thing is such a pain. That, more than anything else, made me feel I had totally gotten in over my head on this image. It doesn't seem like a difficult image, but when I started painting, I realized my initial assessment was oh-so-wrong. >.O
I thought about one of the teeny-tiny brushes, but then decided a toothpick gave me more control because it was pointy on the end. (Why does typing that make me snicker a little? o_o)
Thanks so much for the kind words on Yotan!! I appreciate it so much. *hugs* =)
Thanks!! In the cap, the wire is actually really shiny, which I couldn't manage ... so I used metallic silver (mixed with a little blue) paint. At least it is a bit shiny -- LOLz.
