Cherry Blossoms!!!

Yep ... in spite of the chilly weather we've been having, it's that time of the year again. The cherry trees are all blooming and the robins are bouncing around the yard, looking quite arrogant and self important. I love those robins. I have some hope that Spring truly is just around the corner now.

We headed out to a favorite neighborhood in Bethesda, Maryland today to look at the cherry trees. They have a lot of blossoms, although I don't think they are quite at their peak just yet. Lucky for us, as we managed to avoid the huge crowds that will likely happen over the next week or so. (Not that it wasn't crowded; it was! Just, not as badly as it will be in the near future.)

In spite of being in a rather foul mood and feeling uninspired today, I snapped a few pics. Well, truthfully, I snapped a lot of pics. But there were only a few I liked enough to share. >.O

I've probably mentioned this in here before, but we have a beautiful ornamental cherry tree in front of our house. It bloomed fairly early this year, and it seems like it's about to reach its peak for the season. I love my cherry tree, so I had to include a few shots of it, too. (behind the cut, of course!)
