First things first ...

In the Fangirl Sqwees department, I just got the most awesome package of awesomeness from my dear friend [livejournal.com profile] kayion (aka Dragonnova on Deviantart). She told me she was sending me a "little something", but she was very mysterious about exactly what it was. So, I was curiouser and curiouser today when I found the box from her in my mailbox. I opened it up in the car -- because I couldn't wait -- and what do I find? The most ADORABLE Aya plushie EVER staring up at me from the box with this very grumpy expression. I totally fangirl sqweed right there in the car, and then had to explain all my excitement to my daughter, who was in the back seat. Yeah, sort of an embarrassing mom moment there, but it was oh-so-worth it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this little guy to bits. In fact, he's sitting here on my desk right now, giving me his patented grumpy glare (which, of course, just makes me want to snuggle him ... heh).

I also have some additional gift art to upload to my gallery, although the whole scanning and uploading thing is going pretty slowly right now, thanks to a photo project I'm working on. Which segues neatly into the other part of this entry ...

PHOTO POST!! (be prepared ... this one will be LONG) >.O Read more... )

I actually have quite a few more pictures to show from my outing at my uncle's ranch. It was a great photo outing, and I was happy with quite a few of the shots I got. But, I just realized how long this was getting ... so I'll put them in a second post. =D

As promised, here I am in another post bugging you guys with the rest of my TX pics. These are all from my uncle's ranch in Sisterdale. It is one of the oldest continuously-operating ranches in Texas. His family has been ranching this land since sometime in the 1800s, which is pretty cool. I love getting to go out with him and my cousins, as they know all the old stories that go with the land, and I love being able to get a feeling for that history. =D

Again, putting this behind a cut because of length. Read more... )

Aaaand, I guess that's about it for my Texas Pics. (Told 'ya it would be another LONG post! XD)
