Wow. I almost don't know what to do with myself now that I finished NaNo. I have noticed, though, that my typing speed seems to have increased quite a lot. A factor of NaNo? Or is it because I drank a Coke today after several non-caffeinated days? Hmmm ... Something to ponder. So far, I was something of a lazy bum. Watched a lot of TV -- Criminal Minds, mostly, as the hotel doesn't have the best selection of channels. That's OK, though. I like that show a lot -- even though it creeps me out sometimes. O_O I also read an in-progress YGO fic that one of my good friends is writing. I've needed to read it for a while, but kept putting it off because of NaNo and general life craziness. But (!!) I'm so glad I finally got to sit down with it, because it's a great story! I like her OC, and her idea is so creative and fun. I'm looking forward to reading the ending. Aaand, I've done some pondering over the third story in my Ground Zero series. That little project is long overdue, to say the least. I didn't actually write anything for it today, but it was good to mull over some plot issues and dialogue.

Tomorrow, we leave Boston and head home. I kind of wish we had scheduled our flight back tonight, but we had never been to Boston. We kind of wanted a whole day for sight-seeing and such. As it is, we could have done all our tooling around and still made the late flight home tonight. But, whatever. It's one of those live and learn sorts of things.

I'm kind of looking forward to being home. I miss my little girl. Of course, I talk to her every day, but it's not the same. I want to see her and hear her little laugh and snuggle her in my arms. It's funny how one little person can become so damn important in your life, isn't it? The time away was nice, though. I don't think I could have finished NaNo without it -- not to mention actually bringing my NaNo project to a close. I was doing OK getting in writing time at home, but I am not sure that would have continued to be the case, especially with Thanksgiving coming up.

Now, I have plenty of time to work on my Christmas cards when I get home. Speaking of ... I will probably be doing a second Christmas card post in here. My first one kind of got buried in amongst all the NaNo-related entries. *shame*

I've been shopping for a new LJ layout. Don't know why, exactly. I guess I just felt it was time for a change. So far, I haven't managed to change much, though. It's the same layout I had before -- just a different color. Woo. Go me. -.-" Hopefully, I'll have a bit of time when I get home to go over the list of layouts I liked the best so that I can choose something new. Or, maybe I'll just stick with this one for a while. I like this general layout quite a lot, and I do like the new color scheme.

I don't think I got many good pictures on this trip. I found Boston, as a whole, to be kind of uninspiring for my creative juices. (No offense intended for anyone reading this who happens to be from Boston!) There are things I liked about it a lot. And, things I didn't much like. But, more on that later -- maybe when I post the pics I snapped. If I managed to catch any good ones, that is. >.O

Aaaand ... I guess that's about it. For now. =D
