A Snippet, A Snappet ...

OK. I finally managed to dredge up some inspiration -- or something -- from the depths of my reptilian brain. I'm currently working on yet another snippet for Midroc II. Maybe for the beginning of the book. I swear, I'm having so much trouble finding out how this story begins. It's been one of many frustrations from this summer, particularly since my hare-brained plan had been to have book 2 almost finished by now. Yeah. Best laid plans and all that. Bleh.

Hopefully, though, this snippet will be the winner for starting out this story. So far, it feels pretty right, but only time will tell. (A painful truth I know only too well. *sigh*)

Even if I don't use it, it feels good to sit down and get words onto paper again. Almost cathartic. Maybe it'll put me in a better mood, too. o_o
