I used to eat more than half of a medium size pizza, now be thankful if I eat 4 slices.
Maybe the pizaa was more greasy than normal and that´s why it made you sick.
I´m glad that your mom came out fine from the sugery, I hope they find what makes her blood pressure act up soon.
Parental units tend to conseal what happens to them because they think they need to protect you. They don´t want you to be worried (but hell... we do, I can´t forget the big fright I got when I was still living out of town and my brother called me telling me that my father was at the hospital with something with his heart).
I guess parental units even when we´re old enough to have a couple of kids in school age or we do have a school age kid never really understand that we can take care of them.
Anyway, I hope things with your mom go fine and she gets healthy soon and many hugs for you.
