Cel Gallery Stuffage ...

So, a sorta "happy-sqwee" post to balance out my previous emo-whining. Because balance is a good thing, right? ^.~

I can't remember the last time I posted in here about a cel gallery update. I've been running behind, in general, with scanning and adding stuff. I think I'm pretty much caught up now. I have three things left to add to my RS gallery, and, then, I should be "done" for the year. I'll probably do a Year In Revue thing sometime at the end of December or beginning of January, depending on when/if I have the time.

I've kind of added stuff in batches, since I let things stack up for a few months. So, it's probably easier to link to the New Arrivals section of my RS gallery:

There's a bunch of Loveless, a bunch of Flame of Recca, some Samurai 7, some Saiyuki, some Tactics, and even a Devil Lady cel. o_o

So...are any of these from the Anime Link sale, or is that the missing 3? Hahaha. I have been trying soooo hard not to buy stuff, but Anime Link is probably my favorite dealer and resistance was futile. I've been very curious to see what you got since they have sooooo much nice stuff. XD

(Sorry I don't have a lot of comments on these updates, but Tactics is the only one of them I've seen! I like the art in Loveless though, regardless of not being very familiar with it.)

LOLz! Nope, none of this stuff is from the Link sale. I went through a period of about two or three months where I basically didn't scan or update anything. This is the last bit of "catching up" from my slacker period. >.O

The cels from Anime Link are the missing 3. I'm trying to decide if I should do a "Year in Revue" type of thing for my gallery or not. I've done one for the past two or three years, but not sure if maybe I should skip it this year. Anyhow, once I decide what to do for that, I'll probably update those last 3 cels and add the year-end section at the same time. That way, I won't be showing up on the front page for stuff that's not strictly "new" (if that makes sense. >.O) If I decide not to do the year-end section, I'll still update the last three cels within a couple of days.

They're from Weiss -- I just realized I never mentioned that. I wasn't trying to be all mysterious or anything. Just one of my goober moments. >.O I wanted so much more from the Link sale than what I could afford. *sigh*

I noticed that a few of the larger ticket Weiss things sold...so I was guessing at least something you got would be from that! I got 2 Weiss cels myself (I actually wanted to get 4 or 5 but behaved myself. Ahaha. I was very happy though because one I'd had my eye on literally for years but thought it was way overpriced...and they actually dropped its price BEFORE adding the sale bit ((otherwise I still would have found it too expensive even with the sale so I was super happy)) Haha I'm rambling. I kind of wish I'd gotten a third but it looks like its still there so maybe I'll cave at some later point, heh.

Was it you that got the Aya-chan set? I've been very curious since I noticed that one sold!! I think I noticed an Aya sold too, I bet that was you XD. Looking forward to catching your update, hehe.

Oh yay!! I'm so glad you picked up some awesome stuff at the sale -- and even better that you got a great price on things you've been watching for a long time. I'm soooo happy for you! *dances*

Now, though --- YOU have to do an update so that I can see what you got! Hee! =D

I did get the Aya-chan set. I had been eyeing it for a while, and with the discount from the sale it finally felt like it was within range, so to speak. The third one was one of the Aya cels from the first opening. Same thing with it -- I had wanted it for a long time, but it always felt a bit too high for me. The sale price put it more within a price range I was comfortable with.

Heck ... maybe I'll go ahead and add them tonight. I have a bit of free time -- something in short supply during the holiday crunch. (Although I'll feel kind of bad about it if I do a year-end revue section later. Ah well ... I don't update that often any more. So maybe it won't be totally obnoxious. Only sorta obnoxious! *LOLz* XD)

AWESOME!!! You do such a nice job with backgrounds the cels always look better in your gallery than they do on the dealer's site!!!

I always found that Aya-chan set intriguing, I really did wonder if it was you who got it, hahaha. You seemed like the most likely candidate, but I wasn't sure because as you mentioned in its description it’s rare for you to buy ones that aren't Aya or Yohji, hehe. It looks fantastic with the blue background you gave it (I hope I'm right that that's your addition, I seem to remember it having no background before.)

Your new Aya cel has absolutely gorgeous eyes. ^__^ They're so purple! (I've noticed that they're surprisingly un-purple in more cels than not. I wonder why...do you think certain colors of paint were more expensive than others or something??)

I shall be updating my gallery soon. I am unfortunately dependant on using the scanner at my work, so I haven't had a chance to bring them in to scan yet (and I hate having to unnecessarily transport them, its nerve wrecking, argh.) I got the flashback one of Jei that is from the same sequence I already have one of. I've wanted it for ages and ages but its original price was literally about 10x what I paid for the other, heh. Hooray for sales!!! It's my first one to come with an original background, so that adds to me being so hyperactively excited, haha. The other one I got was more of an impulse buy, at the last moment I decided to get one of Yohji over a different one that I had actually planned on getting for a while. Something about his expression caught me and what can I say...I am rendered powerless by Yohji, ahaha.
