Had some much-needed "alone" time on Saturday. Hubby and the kiddo went to a little gathering of friends, and I bowed out. My sanity was cracking around the edges. Cracking a lot faster than I could tack it back together with superglue, even. "Me time" was great. I watched High School Musical. Yeah, I know. Corny -- but I like it. Except it always makes me wish I went to a school like that. It would have been a lot more fun than my school. Oh well. Fantasy for the win, I guess. Also watched Yu Yu Hakusho. I'm still on season one. I'm never going to finish this show. Seriously. *sigh*

Kiddo woke up sick today. Fever. Congestion. Sore Throat. I ended up calling up the "dial a nurse" thing my insurer sponsors. I talked to a very nice nurse, who did a fairly comprehensive work up on my daughter (well, for the phone, anyhow). The upshot was that it was safe, in her opinion, to wait until tomorrow and take the kiddo to her regular doctor. Good thing, since I really didn't want to go to urgent care today. Why can't the child unit manage to get sick on a weekday? Silly kid. >.O

Thanks for good wishes for the kiddo. I should be able to get her into her pediatrician's tomorrow. Hopefully it's just a cold or something, but with all the weird stuff going around now, I figured better safe than sorry.

Haha, I don't know YGO (aside from the few episodes I had to watch whilst babysitting two young boys oh...wow, 5 or 6 years ago...(this is the one where they play cards that turn into monsters and other magical things and fight, right?) Hee, took the quiz, too, and had absolutely no idea who any of the names were. I did, however, get my exacty eye and hair colour and personality...hmmmmm....

Aww, hope the little one feels better soon. It's no fun being sick. Or, you know, being the one taking care of the sick one. And it's never fun to see someone you love not feeling well. :(
