Hee! Let's see ...

We did a lot of driving, so we ate a lot outside of San Francisco. I'm not sure how far you guys are planning on straying from the city, so some of this might not be helpful. But I did write down almost all the restaurant names.

Shiki Bistro, in San Carlos. It was Japanese-ish. And yum!
Santa Cruz Diner, in Santa Cruz.

Piccolo Teatro, in Sausalito
Smart Alec's, in Berkeley

In San Francisco:
This little Italian restuarant. I didn't write the name of it down, but it is in the Nob Hill area. It's teeny tiny, but it was fantastic.
Ferry Market: lots of restaurants here. We ate at a Japanese-style deli, which had great miso soup.
Suppekutche: This is the German place. It is so, so, so, sooooo good. Seriously. If I had to pick one restaurant to bring back to VA with me, this would be it. YUM. It opens at 5 PM, and, by 5:03, the place was packed.
Bi-Rite Creamery -- for ice cream, of course. This was probably the best ice cream I've ever had: toasted coconut and cinnamon with snickerdoodle.

*sigh* I'm hungry just thinking about it. Off to get some breakfast!! Hee!
